A car key is cut to a precise pattern of depths and tracks unique to your vehicle's locks. Get it a fraction out and the blade turns roughly or jams — which is why we cut with a machine built for automotive work rather than a shopfront key bar.
That machine lives in the van, along with blanks for most common makes, so the whole job happens where your car already is.
Mechanical, laser and high-security blades
Different eras of car need different cutting.

How it works without the original key
No key at all is not a problem. We either decode the door lock to recover the original bitting, or pull the key code from the vehicle's own data with diagnostic equipment. The blade is then cut to factory specification and, where the car has an immobiliser, coded to it before we leave.
Why this beats a shop or a dealership
A high-street locksmith needs the car brought to them, and a dealership usually means recovery costs plus a wait of several days for a key ordered against your VIN. We arrive at the vehicle, cut on the spot and, in most cases, have you driving the same visit.

- Can you cut a car key without the original?
- Yes. If no key exists we decode the door lock or read the key code from the vehicle's data, then cut a fresh blade to the original factory pattern.
- Do you cut laser and high-security keys?
- We do. The van carries a cutting machine that handles both standard edge-cut blades and the sidewinder or laser-track keys used by most makes from the mid-2000s onward.
- Do I have to bring the car to you?
- No — that is the point of a mobile service. We come to the vehicle wherever it is parked, provided we can get alongside it safely.
